Psychotherapist, behaviour specialist and educator, with more than twenty years in NSW public education across specialist and mainstream settings.
Sharon works as a Specialist Educator (Complex Behaviour) at a support unit in the Illawarra, and as a psychotherapist with adults. In both rooms she sees the same thing: people who were never taught how to stay steady, disagree, hold a boundary or repair, and how much changes when they learn.
Most of us learned relationships by watching whoever raised us. The Relational Classroom exists so the next generation does not have to learn them by accident. It starts with the adults, because the curriculum starts with us.
It was developed as a resident at iAccelerate, the University of Wollongong business accelerator.
The Relational Classroom is the schools arm of a wider body of work on relationship skills across the lifespan. The Relational Human is where Sharon writes for adults: the patterns we inherit, and the skills that let us change them.
Whether you lead a school, teach a class, or want these skills in your workplace or community, I am happy to talk about where to start.
